Garatie Houseshares

Garatie Houseshares was started in 2007 by husband and wife team Kevin and Caralyn.

We ran a student house in the 1990s in an “amateur way” and enjoyed meeting and helping many interesting young people.

A plan was needed to cover Kevin’s income for the time when his successful corporate career came to an end.

We also had a desire to create an ethical business that would genuinely be valued by its customers and would provide a legacy to benefit future generations of the family.

Researching options brought us to the newly formed Platinum Property Partners and their Value Set of “Be More, Do More, Have More, Give More” was a perfect match at a perfect time.

Living half way between Nottingham and Derby, we chose to build our business in Derby and renovated 5 houses in 5 years, initially Kevin continuing Business Consultancy work part time until 2011 when he retired to focus as a full time landlord.

Daughter Kate changed career in 2016 and we bought 3 fully occupied shared houses in Beeston, Nottingham (near her home) over the next 3 years.
